Why Do We Have Pigeons?
Pigeon infestations are generally located on properties providing exactly that which birds require; shelter, food and water. Any one of these three necessities, plus a multitude of other possible scenarios, can lead to a pigeon problem. In this case, the culprit is the pool.
The birds can hop onto the hot tub overflow and drink whenever they like without fear of being disturbed. To remove the pigeons you have to remove causation; in this instance their access to water. A barrier was constructed and placed in position to deter the pigeons. Although not the most eye catching object, it’s a simple choice and one which home owners make gladly; a movable barrier or a pool full of pigeon poop?
